These balances utilise a highly sensitive and accurate electromagnetic force sensor to determine the weight of the sample which is electronically converted to selected unit. This provides superior precision to that of cheaper strain gauge type balances.All 3 and 4 decimal place models come with a glass draught shield with sliding doors for easy access. An RS232 port is standard as is a weigh below hook. To help adapt the balance to real life working conditions, Pioneer is designed with selectable environmental settings. When working in harsh environments, the balance can be adjusted to compensate for vibrations and other disturbances. Conversely, the balance can be adjusted for working in slow filling applications where sensitivity is a must.
